Heaven Worship Series

Coming in January! New Message Series on “Heaven.”

Are you looking forward to heaven? Have you ever wondered…. what is heaven going to be like? What will we look like? What will our lives be like? What will it be like to see God and be in His presence? What will our lives and relationships be like? What about animals? What will we do in heaven? Will it be boring?

What did Jesus say about heaven? What did Jesus say about hell?

These are all vital questions, and yet the average person makes more plans for a 10 day vacation than we do for our “eternal destination.”

Join us for this 6 week series and learn from the Bible what God wants us to know about Heaven. And the next time you hear someone say, “I can’t imagine what Heaven will be like,” you’ll be able to say, “I can.”

You’ll learn:

  • How to deal with the many emotions you’ll face during the holidays
  • How to discover hope for your future
  • What to do about traditions and other coming changes
  • Helpful tips for surviving social events

You are invited to attend one of the two seminars offered at St. Timothy on Tuesday, November 28 or Tuesday, December 5 from 6:30-8:30 PM.  Both seminars are held in the Adult Education building, Room 104, facilitated by Judy Box. If you know of someone who might benefit from this resource, please share the information.

Follow Jesus. Make a Difference.

The most recognizable brand/logo in the world is Coca-Cola.  97% of people recognize it.  The vision of Coca-Cola is that everyone in the world taste it.  The most recognizable symbol in the world is the cross with its transforming life and power for those who believe.

After working with our staff and leadership, we have decided to simplify our mission statement to make it more recognizable and easy for all to remember.  We want to “Follow Jesus.  Make a difference.”

Out of 7 billion people worldwide, 3 billion have never heard the name of Jesus.  Our commission is to make disciples wherever He leads, whether locally or globally.  We need more than head knowledge about Jesus, but a life changing encounter where He enables us by the Holy Spirit to actually go where He leads and do what He says.

The Great Commission hasn’t changed.  He calls us to “go” and promises to send us with His authority and power.  He will be with us until the end of the age.

Is there any baggage you need to leave behind in order to truly follow Jesus?  He will empower you to do that, and then enable you to follow Him and make a difference.

Prayer Makes a Difference

From September 27, 2017 Message by Brad Jurischk

Synopsis:

Only through prayer will our mission and vision to Follow Jesus and Make a Difference become a reality.  All our plans, hopes, and dreams can only be accomplished through on-going, fervent prayer.

Philippians 4: 6-7 tells us how to accomplish this.  Do not be anxious about anything.  That’s a tall order as we consider local and global events.  They will always be with us.  How then shall we overcome?  First, pray – develop a relationship with God, through the Word and prayer.  Bring your petitions to Him.  He is the only one who has power and authority to effect change and answer.  With thanksgiving – before the answer is received, which is an expression of your trust and faith.  Then let your requests be made know.  This results in peace that transcends your human understanding, and will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus.

Accept the three-fold challenge of prayer:
1 – Pray for our church and its mission.
2 – Pray for yourself daily asking Jesus where you can follow Him and make a difference.
3 – Attend our Service of Prayer and Healing

Let us all follow Jesus and make a difference!
